POSITION: 98.5 KFOX is seeking a dynamic Sales Account Executive to develop new business, with a primary focus on Santa Clara County and the greater South Bay area. The right individual will be an energetic, positive thinker who enjoys working independently.  We need someone who enjoys prospecting, meeting people, asking for assignments and creating solutions for customers.  You must be driven to be a top achiever and consistently meeting or exceeding your sales goals.  This individual will work four days per week in the South Bay, and one day per week in San Francisco.

  • Prospect and cultivate new customers through networking, referrals and cold calling
  • Identify customer needs and develop creative solutions using radio, digital, and social media platforms
  • Exceed customer expectations for service, follow-through, and ROI
  • Build relationships of trust and credibility with customers
  • Meet annual revenue goals and help achieve team budgets and objectives
  • Maintain detailed records on each customer using CRM software
  • Work independently while maintaining close communication with supervisor and team stakeholders in a remote location
  • Participate in training to enhance professional skills and industry knowledge



  • Two or more years' experience in outside sales, media advertising sales or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work remotely with moderate supervision
  • Capable and willing to resolve unexpected problems and be flexible to perform unscheduled assignments
  • A high level of proficiency with computers, software and new technologies
  • Highly familiar with the benefits and shortcomings of all types of media including, but no limited to, traditional media as well as social and digital media
  • Enthusiastic, position and creative perspective to new business development
  • Strong commitment to personal growth through continual training
  • Possess excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and proven ability to safely drive personal vehicle without exposing Company to serious liability risks



  • Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communciation effectively
  • Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination
  • Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion
